New Look To Our Event Organizer Platform…Social Catalyst
We’ve been working really hard on improving the event organizer side of DIGITALGUESTLIST recently. After adding a new set of analytical tools and an explanation of how to use us as your event marketing hub, we’ve updated the site once again.
To clearly distinguish the event organizer side of our site from the user side, we’ve made it look entirely different and dubbed it Social Catalyst. You’ll notice a logo for Social Catalyst and a metallic silverish feel to the site. This should definitely help those who try to log into their event organizer account on the user side.
We chose the name Social Catalyst as the event marketing hub because we envision it as the most critical component of your event marketing strategy.

Introducing The Advanced Package of Our Analytics Suite
Our Analytics Suite is making event marketing more science than art. We’re cutting out the guess work.
The Advanced Package consists of 4 tools for your events’ performance and 4 market research tools for the demographics of your Followers.
You can access the Advanced Package in two ways:
By clicking on the Performance at the top of your dashboard, then clicking on the “Advanced” tab
By clicking on the second Marketing Analytics icon next to your event.

Explanation of How to Use Us as Your Event Marketing Hub
We’ve created DIGITALGUESTLIST as your online event marketing hub – a place where you start the marketing campaign for your next event. By leveraging our platform, you’ll be able to gain deep insight into your event’s marketing strategy which we consider to be invaluable. As former event organizers, we know it is absolutely crucial you know how well (or not) your marketing campaign is going. You never want to start the event with less thanan 80% level of confidence as to how the event will turn out.
However, that is a pretty difficult concept to understand at first…
To help you better understand how to use us as your event marketing hub, we whipped up a pretty cool presentation and placed it on your dashboard. To scroll through the presentation, simply use the arrows at the bottom righthand corner of the screen.
We Integrated Twitter with our Featured Events
Over the weekend we integrated Twitter into our platform. Now when you list your event as “Featured”, it will automatically be posted to our Twitter account! To make your event featured, simply select the “Featured Event” option on the List Type field at the bottom of our event submission form.
Featured Events are listed in a special section at the top of our users’ dashboards and, now, are “tweeted” to our followers with a link directing them to RSVP on your event page. Awesome!
Since we are still in beta, there is no charge for Featured Events, but there is a limit of 5 Featured Events per social circle. So give it a spin and make your next event a Featured Event today!
Be sure to follow us on Twitter @teamdgl

The event is posted to the Featured Events section of our users’ dashboards…

and also automatically posted to our Twitter account!

New Marketing Features Added: Twitter + More
As your event marketing hub, we are always listening to your feedback and striving to continually make updates to our site. Please read about out the new changes to DIGITALGUESTLIST below:
+ Vanity URL: Easy Access To Your Events
The vanity URL is the web address that makes it easy for people to find out about your company and all your events. To make sure there is no confusion what your vanity URL is, we placed it on the dashboard. You may change your vanity URL at anytime under the “Settings” tab.

+ Twitter Share Button: Tweet Your Events
Twitter is a great way to let people know about your events, so we added a Twitter Share button on the dashboard next to all of your current events. Now, you may press the button to tweet about your event. The tweet will contain the link to your event so people may RSVP and “Retweet” your event.

+ Current/Past Events
In order to make it easier for concentration on your current events, we split the dashboard into “Current’ and “Past” Events. It is a small change that should make navigating the site much easier.

+ Recent Updates: Keep Current
From time to time we’ll post information on updates to our site, effective marketing strategies, and our advertising philosophies. Ususally we’ll e-mail you with these updates, but in case you misplace the email, we’ve placed them on the dashboard.

We hope these changes make your experience with DIGITALGUESTLIST better.
New Features: Facebook Comment Integration & More
We’ve made four improvements to DIGITALGUESTLIST which should lead to more people attending your events! A quick description of the improvements are below:
1) Facebook Connect Comment Integration
Many of our users said they wanted to be able to talk about how awesome your event is before and after it occurs – so we added a comment box connected to Facebook for them. Now, our users can leave comments about your events and, if they are on Facebook, their comment will show up on their Facebook Wall and Live Stream.
The cool part is that their comment links back to your event page on DIGITALGUESTLIST. It is a complete viral loop! Look at the example below:
A Facebook user leaves a comment about your event on www.digitalguestlist.com…
We Added Charts To The Event Performance Analytics Suite
Our development team spent a lot of sleepless nights last week installing a few cool charts to make it easier for you to understand the stats about your events. To see how your event is performing, click on the Performance tab on your dashboard. With detailed information on your marketing campaigns, you’ll be able to dramatically lower your marketing expenses.
New Features: RSVP Confirmation & Event Reminder Emails
Our development team has been working hard over the last 72 hours on two new features that will make sure more of our users will attend your events! A quick description is below:
RSVP Confirmation E-mails: After someone RSVP’s for your event, they’ll receive a confirmation email which they may use as proof of placement on your guest list. In addition, the email will contain your name as a point of contact should any issue arise.
Event Reminder E-mails: Around 11:45pm on the night before your event, your event attendees will receive an email reminding them about your event. Like the RSVP Confirmation E-mail, it will contain your name as a point of contact should any issue arise.
We expect these small enhancements will make a significant impact for you! click here to post your upcoming events.
Favorite Promoter Banner
A number of promoters asked us to create banner for their emails/websites/MySpace pages in order for thier subscribers/visitors/friends would have an easier time adding them as one of their favorite promoters – so we did!
Simply right-click and download the banner below and link it to your public profile url (for example http://www.digitalguestlist.com/username)

Remember, your followers (those who list you as a favorite) automatically receive an email when you post your events to the site. Obviously, it’s a good idea to have as many followers as possible. You pretty much get free advertising. Now, your social network connections actually mean something!
It is also a good idea to add yourself as a favorite event organizer and follow yourself.
