The Black Weblog Awards has officially opened up for nominations. The Black Weblog Awards enters its 4th year recognizing the best and brightest in the Black blogosphere. Nominations will last until the 16th of August, and finalist voting will be August 17th -31st . The winning blogs are expected to be announced on September 4.

We are re-branding the company and one of the first steps in this process is selecting a new logo. We’ve commissioned MSG Media, an Atlanta-based outfit, to develop our new logo and they’ve come up with four logos.

Over the last few years we’ve slowly drifted away from our original mission. To put it simply, we want to tell people about the places that will make their life more fun, and do it while spending less money than their counterparts. Adding new sections to our website took away from our focus, so we made the decision to basically start all over. Now, you have one option when logging onto the site – sign up for the email list. Simple. Straight to the point. Easy.

We’ll use this blog to update the world (this is a global economy) on our developments. From time to time, we’ll give you an inside look into the life of a startup. We’ll update this blog at least once per week. So check back often.
