Hip Hop in High Definition Featuring Slum Village, Camp Lo, Joell Ortiz, & Pacific Division Hosted By Amanda Diva
Hip hop will be in full effect and coming to you in high definition, as C-Students presents Hip Hop in High Definition on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at The Loft in the CW Music Complex. The Loft, formerly Earthlink Live, is located on 1374 West Peachtree Street, Atlanta, GA 30309. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. The event hosted by Amanda Diva, will feature music from Camp Lo, Slum Village, Joell Ortiz, and Pacific Division.
The Lo, formerly known as Camp Lo, creators of the hit single “Luchini AKA This is it”, is one of hip hop’s most dynamic duos. Their innovative style, smooth lyrics, and seventies flavor is what keeps them on the lips of music enthusiasts everywhere. The Lo, will hit the stage performing their classic hits and tracks from their new album, Black Hollywood.
The lyrically gifted group by the name of Slum Village who has worked with big name artists such as Kanye West, D’Angelo, Busta Rhymes, Kurupt, and Q-Tip will also be in attendance. With clever wordplay and guitar driven sounds, the Detroit natives are sure to deliver an unforgettable performance.
Newcomers Joell Ortiz and Pacific Division will bring their unique sound to the already dynamic line-up. Ortiz, who recently dropped his newest album, The Brick (Bodega Chronicles), and Pacific Division, known for their conceptual music who have received highly-coveted co-signs from artists like Pharrell and Snoop Dogg, will demonstrate exactly what the future holds for hip hop.
“This show is why people listen to lyrics, and live hip hop everyday. I know this show will be one of the greatest to ever hit the Atlanta area,” says Lawrence Haynes the founder of C-Students. C-Students is dedicated to promoting talented artist and quality music…and there won’t be a shortage of either during this event.
